About me

A Personal Touch in a Professional World

My name is Amy Beck, and I am a professional with a rich background in marketing and entrepreneurship. I earned my MBA from Brigham Young University in 2012, where I specialized in negotiations and strategy. My education laid a solid foundation for my career, allowing me to navigate the complexities of the business world with confidence and insight.

I am proud to have been a commercial beekeeping business owner. This endeavor taught me invaluable lessons about resilience, sustainability, and the importance of community.  I used marketing & sales skills every day in clearing 10,000 lbs of honey and 300+ packages of live bees & equipment each year.

Since 2017, I have been an active investor in Central Texas, a region that I have come to deeply appreciate for its vibrant economy and innovative spirit. I’ve lived in Temple/Belton for 10 years.

My roles in the office at a local custom home builder has taught me about boundary issues/surveys, HOA & restrictive covenant details, financial strategy, and many things custom homes!  Anyone can admire a beautiful, well-built home, but I can price it out and focus attention to detail.

Beyond my professional pursuits, as a mother of children in local public schools, I am acutely aware of the importance of education and community involvement. My husband, a proud veteran of the Army, shares my commitment to service and instilling values of hard work and perseverance in our children.

Some of my recent Realtor achievements include

-Successfully navigating a complex adverse possession land issue

-Closing a short-sale on a VA loan (hardly anyone else is doing these)

-Navigating storm-related damage from the tornado in May 2024 and getting new roofs/fence/ceilings/screens for clients as part of the contract

-Helping buyers close on their dream homes on acreage

-Winning in multiple offer scenarios for my clients

Builds Prior to Covid

-Cost is sometimes similiar to new construction; Also the only way to buy into certain neighborhoods
-Certain construction elements are built to higher standards than newer builds
-Aging HVAC, roofs, and foundations are usually the biggest concerns

Always I recommend getting inspection(s).  If on a septic system, that’s an additional fee.  Mechanical and roof inspections may be warranted in some situations.

Neighborhoods that have older and new construction side-by-side

Often times, you're competing against the builder when inventory is high - they offer concessions and price decreases that an average homeowner can't compete with. When inventory is tight, buyers pay a premium for homes that are completed and have upgrades beyond what the builder installed (landscaping, patios, etc).

There are multiple great neighborhoods in Central Texas to choose from – whether you want a brand new home or an existing home.

New construction in Belton TX
New Construction

Ranges from high 200s - whatever you want to spend. Always look for a reputable builder. There is definitely an element of "you get what you pay for."

Home builders aren’t making money if they aren’t building and selling. I can help you find exactly what you’re looking for in Central Texas.

I work with lenders, title companies, surveyors, home inspectors, contractors, other agents, and anyone else needed to get the job done!
